The DXL-K is a gas-fired boiler with quiet and highly efficient operation. Its energy-saving features include the electronic ignition system and motorized vent damper.
The internal Hydrolevel control adjusts the water temperature based on your heating system demand, which further reduces heating costs. The built-in low water cutoff (LWCO) protects the boiler from potentially dangerous low water levels.
The DXL-K offers more installation flexibility with water and gas piping options available out the left or right sides of the boiler.
The Series MI-e® residential, cast iron, hot water boiler is 84% AFUE and meets the Department of Energy 2021 minimum efficiency requirement. The boiler features a Hydrostat IC Integrated Boiler Control which provides dependable spark ignition, low water cut-off and boiler reset for energy savings!
Uponor, formerly Wirsbo, was the first to bring PEX radiant floor heating to North America more than 40 years ago. Today, Uponor radiant floor heating systems are bringing the energy-efficient luxury of radiant floor heating to the masses for a simple, affordable solution to home comfort. In an Uponor radiant floor heating system, warm water flows through flexible, durable crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) tubing that is embedded under the floor. The warmth radiates up from the floor to warm objects and people in a room. It is the purest form of human thermal comfort.
The water in a radiant system has a capacity to transport energy 3,500 times greater than air, so it can heat (and even cool) using less energy than a forced-air system. This amounts to greater comfort at a lower thermostat setting, which provides lower energy bills. In fact, more people are comfortable with radiant floor heating at a lower thermostat setting than with forced-air heating at a higher thermostat setting.
